With 800 Kronor in his pocket
The year was 1940. In a little wooden building on the outskirts of Örebro, Sweden, 23-year-old Åke Johnson started a metal foundry. His modest capital amounted to no more than 800 kronor. But he believed in the future and he put his money and own best efforts into building a good business. By the end of the company'¨s first year in business, Å. Johnsons Gjuteri & Metallfabrik, had a turnover of 50.000 kronor and a workforce of eight men.Compared to 1940 not much is the same anymore. But the spirit of the pioneering early years lives on. Johnson Metal sees possibilities - not difficulties - in every task at hand. Back |
